History of the Dales pony breed

It is similar to the Fell pony and also shares the same ancestry. The Dales pony is an old breed that descends from the Old Frisian horse. He then interbred with a large number of other breeds from which he gained his strength and endurance. It was used to carry ore from mines in the Northumberland and Durham area as well as in agriculture. Later he was also crossed with Welsh horses, specifically with the stallion Comet.

Physical structure of the Dalek pony breed

The head is pleasing, the neck is short and strong. The back is muscular, the back is short with a high-set tail. Limbs are short, strong with quality hooves. Both the hair and the hair are thick. The coat is exclusively black or brown, the height at the withers is on average 145 cm.
