History of the Clydesdale breed

This breed originated in Scotland in the 18th century, where it replaced the Shire horse. His ancestors were original hardy horses, Belgian cold bloods and Flemish. The founder of this breed was a stallion named Blaze. Clydesdale horses quickly gained popularity due to their strength. By crossing with Shire horses, the Clydesdal gained in strength. In 1877, the Clydesdale Horse Society was founded and the Clydesdale became the first draft breed to have its own society in Britain.

The head is attractive with a straight profile and large, intelligent eyes. The neck is arched, the shoulders are bent. The chest is arched. The back is short, the back is muscular with a high set tail. The limbs are strong, with thick fur and large hooves. The fur is brown with large markings extending to the belly.
