History of the Burmese pony breed

The Burmese pony is a mountain primitive breed originating from the Shan region. It has common features with Manipuri, Bhutia and Spiti pony breeds. His ancestor was the Mongolian pony and the Oriental horse. However, it has less Arabic blood in it than Manipuri, which is more elegant and fast. The Burmese pony has adapted better to its environment and lifestyle.
