History of the Bavarian Warmblood breed

A very old breed, originally called Rottaler. In the Middle Ages, it was used in knightly tournaments and wars. Later, the breed was crossed with Cleveland Browns and Normandy Cobies. In the 19th century, people wanted a lighter, sportier and more powerful breed, so they also used Oldenburg horses and English thoroughbreds. The breeding of the breed continues to this day with the use of scientific and genetic knowledge.

The Bavarian Warmblood was formerly used mainly in agriculture, but today it is a typical riding horse. The head is pleasing, the neck elegant. The chest is deep.
