Coat of the breed Caucasian Shepherd Dog

Straight, coarse, with a well-developed lighter undercoat. It is shorter and tightly fitted on the head and forelegs. (a) Long-haired - long covering coat forming a mane on the neck, well-developed trousers on the buttocks and the back of the runs are heavily covered. The long coat covers the tail on all sides, giving it a thick and bushy appearance. (b) Shorthair - with a dense, relatively short coat, no mane, overgrown runs, trousers and a flaggy tail (c) Intermediate - with a long coat but no mane, overgrown runs, trousers and a bushy tail.

Grey, light to rusty shades, straw yellow, white, earthy colours, brindle, spotted and spotted.
